The biggest star is the Nova 6 5G, which offers an oval-shaped perforated screen, a top-of-the-line Kirin 990 chip, and a triple camera setup. There is also a standard Nova 6 with the exact same design but omits 5G connectivity and has a slightly smaller battery. The cheapest of these is the mid-range Nova 6 SE that has four cameras, a Kirin 810 chip and a 4,200 mAh battery.
Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G
Both the Nova 6 and its 5G variant have a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution, which is perforated in the top left corner. The perforated section features a dual camera with a 32MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide secondary sensor with a 105-degree viewing angle. The right side is the fingerprint scanner also acts as a power button.
On the back, the duo features a 40 MP main camera paired with an 8 MP telephoto module that supports OIS and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera.
In terms of configuration, the device comes with a leading Kirin 990 chip paired with a 5G 5G Balong modem on the Nova 6 5G version. They have standard 8 GB RAM, which combines the memory from 128 GB to 256 GB. While the Nova 6 comes with a 4,200 mAh battery, the 5G version comes with a 4,100 mAh battery. Both support Huawei SuperCharge 40W fast charging, running Android 10 operating system with EMUI 10 user interface.
The Nova 6 5G will cost $ 540 for the 8/128 GB version, while the 8/256 GB version will cost $ 595. The standard Nova 6 version costs $ 454 for the 8/128 GB version. Orders start investing now but will only hit shelves from 12/12.
Nova 6 SE
Huawei also introduced Nova 6 SE for the mid-range segment. The product has a 6.4 inch LCD screen with Full HD + resolution, which is punched out for a single 16 MP selfie camera. Like the other 2 Nova 6 models, the SE version has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
On the back, Nova 6 SE comes with 4-camera setup with 48 MP main sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide camera and two 2 MP cameras (macro and depth). Inside, the device integrates Kirin 810 chip, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory. The battery has a capacity of 4,200 mAh and supports fast charging Huawei SuperCharge 40W.
The Nova 6 SE will cost $ 315 for the 8/128 GB version, the order from now on and officially on shelves on 12/12.
As the image posted from the press release shows, the Nova 6 series is unlikely to come with Google apps like what the Mate 30 series has to face. However, it is also possible that it is a snapshot of the Chinese market so it does not contain the Google app, while foreign variants have this. Everything still needs to be confirmed by Huawei.
